Our band playes regulary six tourist's favorite restaurants around the City, and one in Szentendre (details at the "events" menue):

Every wednesday, all the year: Ladó Café - elegant coffehaus, small stage, international and hungarian menue (downtown, near Blaha Lujza tér)

Every thursday from 10th of may): Dunacorso Étterem - restaurant with huge terrace, beautiful wiew to the Budai Vár (castle), international and hungarian menue, one of the best kitchen of the city, real Budapest souvenire feeling with the best jazz-evergreens, sometimes hot swing dancers on the street (downtown, riverside, close to the Vörösmarty tér)

Once a month:

Fat Mo's, real american pub from the 1930-ies, international menue (downtown, close to the Ferenciek tere)

Old Man's, real retro pub, antic furnitures, small scene, international menue (downtown, close to the Blaha Lujza tér)

Andante Borpatika, elegant small restaurant with the best hungarian wines (at Buda-side near the Lánc-híd on the riverside)

La Coppola, the onlyone sicilian restaurant of the city with original sicilian cheef, friendly italian mood with terrace (downtown, close to the Ferenciek tere)

Parola Étterem (Szentendre), friendly, familiar restaurant with the best hungarian food (Szentendre, Lajos-forrási cross, turn left by car)

The Hot Jazz Band have got three times a chance to play on foreign stages in this year. 4-5-6th of may at the Gronau Jazz festival Germany (see at the events), 29-30th june-1th july at the Riverboat Jazz Festival Denmark and 8-9th july at Herrang Dance Camp Sweden the HJB get on stage.

Back from Sweden and Corsica 2011

The Hot Jazz Band has three tours in Europe this year.

First we performed in the Herräng Dance Camp in Sweden, July 24-25. This is the biggest meeting of swing dancers of the world. The Hot Jazz Band is the first and only Hungarian band who attended this festival yet.
Road to Prunelli

From August 10-13, we traveled to Corsica for two concerts. First night we performed at the top of a mountain, Prunelli di Fiumorbo.

The Hot Jazz Band proudly presents
the newest album of the band:
HALLÓ! HALLÓ!

The 13th cd of the band is again a salute to the great Hungarian ancestors: composers, musicians and performers. The already 25 years old band has chosen an invention from the 19th century as the subject of their new cd: the telephone.
It's not surprising, after all, that so many telephone songs were born in the land of Tivadar Puskás. The earliest melody of the cd is from 1928, the latest is from 1960. Through this little musical collection we can have a glimpse of the elegant, idealistic world of the good old days.

The CD is available on our concerts, and in the shops of Líra, Cora, Media Markt, Saturn and Rózsavölgyi.
